Sentence Comprehension 1: Who?, Does What? (FREEBIE)

My little guy gets a little anxious whenever I ask him a WH question during reading activities. Instead of looking at what he just read, he'll say the first thing that comes to mind.  I created this activity to help him focus on the text and to realize that the answer is in the sentence itself.  He just has to pick the right word.

First he READS, WRITES, and BUILDS the sentence.

Then he ANSWERS the questions by taking the words/phrases from the sentence he just built and gluing them on the correct spot.

     
I continually reinforce that people answer WHO questions, and actions answer DOES WHAT questions.  Physically moving the sentence parts goes along way to increasing his understanding.
